PRESBYTERIAN VILLAGE ATHENS NAMES LANDSCAPER, CONTRACTOR AND REACHES HALFWAY POINT TOWARD GROUNDBREAKING

Presbyterian Village Athens, a brand new senior living community scheduled to break ground in 2018, has reached two milestones in the planning process. R.W. Allen has been officially named as the General Contractor for the project, and will manage most of the construction, including the Village Center and apartments, while Precision Landscape Management has been selected as the landscaping company on the project to handle the initial planting on campus. The second milestone involves surpassing the midway point toward our deposit goal to begin construction. The strong interest puts us well on pace for groundbreaking in 2018.

“We’re pleased with the interest we’ve seen in what we believe will be the premier senior living community in Athens and the surrounding area,” said Alex Patterson, vice president of Presbyterian Homes of Georgia, who will own and operate the community. “With the experience R.W. Allen brings, we’re confident this is going to be a truly special place for area seniors for many years to come.”

The community will offer a full continuum of care, including skilled nursing and memory support, and will include cottages, villas and apartments. Amenities such as walking trails, a fitness center, tennis courts, an indoor saltwater pool, pub and billiards room, hair salon, and multiple dining venues will be available to residents. A full list of services and amenities are available here.

“Future residents of Presbyterian Village Athens will have everything they need to enjoy the retirement they’ve always planned for,” said Patterson. “Additionally, since this is a Life Plan community, they’ll be free of worry when it comes to any care they might need down the road.”
