Yes, Presbyterian Homes of Georgia was founded in 1949 and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation.

For more than 60 years, we’ve been in a covenant agreement with the five Presbyteries in Georgia (PCUSA).

There are six. We have three Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs): Presbyterian Home and Retirement Community in Quitman, Presbyterian Village in Austell, and Presbyterian Village Athens. Three are affordable senior living apartment communities: Philips Tower in Decatur, Calvin Court in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood, and Swainsboro Presbyterian Apartments in Emanuel County. Together, the six Presbyterian Homes communities serve more than 1,000 residents.

This type of senior living community provides a full continuum of care from Independent Living to Supportive Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing care. A CCRC offers comprehensive services to meet residents’ needs today and in the future, enabling residents to remain at the same community as they age.

Many states have a Presbyterian Homes organization. Each operates as a separate entity to best meet the needs of residents in that particular state. However, the Presbyterian Association of Homes and Services for the Aging is a national organization whose members are affiliated and who work together to share best practices. Presbyterian Homes of Georgia also is a member of the Aging Services of Georgia and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.

For more than 60 years, Presbyterian Homes consistently has gone above and beyond the required numbers of nursing hours and other state regulations to ensure that each and every resident receives the highest quality of care possible.
