groundbreaking ceremony on senior living community

Groundbreaking Ceremony for Presbyterian Village Athens

On Friday, September 21, the groundbreaking ceremony for Presbyterian Homes of Georgia’s new Life Plan Community was held in its future location in pastoral Oconee County. After discussions throughout the past 30 years, Presbyterian Village Athens is officially beginning with construction planned to finish by late 2020. The project will be located on 70 acres on Macon Highway near its intersection with Hog Mountain Road. Once completed, our $143 million community will feature 107 cottages, 22 villas, and 100 apartment homes. The community will also include amenities such as walking trails, a fitness center, tennis and pickleball courts, an indoor saltwater pool, pub and billiards room, a salon, and multiple dining venues.
