We find ourselves in the same situation as in 2020 with the surge of the Delta variant. Because of our population and demographics, it is even more critical to continue to keep our standards of safety and care of our residents therefore, we have made the difficult decision to not host the auction on Sunday, October 24th. While we realize this might be disappointing, the safety and well-being of our residents and of the entire Caring Hands community is of upmost importance and we feel this is the right decision.
While we will not be having the Ceilidh Auction in person, we will be holding a silent auction online from October 21 – 25 so you can have the opportunity to bid on some of the fabulous items from our generous donors. Stay tuned for more details on the silent auction.
As it is outdoors and easy to adhere to safety protocols, we will be holding the golf tournament on October 25th at Reynold’s Lake Oconee as planned. There will not, however, be any events the evening before the golf tournament.
While we are disappointed not to be able to hold the Ceilidh Auction, we continue to need the funding and support from you, our supporters. Please consider to still donate to the Caring Hands Fund to benefit those residents in need at our communities across the state of Georgia.
We hope to have a Grand Opening of the Presbyterian Village Athens community when it is safe to do so and we look forward to a time when we are able to come together to celebrate our supporters and thank you all in person. Until then, we wish you all much love and good health and we thank you for supporting our ministry.
