Presbyterian Homes of Georgia Gala | ATLANTA, GA
Caring Hands Classic and Ceilidh Celebration 2026
We will celebrate generosity this fall – generosity that supports the residents of Presbyterian Homes of Georgia through the Caring Hands Fund.
Ceilidh 2026: A Gala will be held Sunday night, September 27, 2026 in the Ballroom of the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, GA.
The 20th Caring Hands Classic golf tournament will be held the next day, Monday, September 28. Proceeds from the Ceilidh and the tournament support the Caring Hands Fund, which provides financial support for one-third of our 1,200 residents on an annual basis.
The Ceilidh Tradition
In 1942, a widow asked her pastor, “Is there a place for me?” She did not know where she would live out the years of her life in comfort, security, and in an environment of compassionate care. The answer to her question, then and now, is “Yes – there is a place for you at Presbyterian Homes.”
The word Ceilidh comes from the Gaelic for “gathering” or “visit.” Historically, Ceilidhs were social events where people would come together to share stories, sing, play music, and of course, dance. They were a central part of community life in the Highlands and Islands, bringing warmth and joy to long winter nights. At Presbyterian Homes of Georgia, we have adopted the Ceilidh tradition as a way of expressing our gratitude for the support of the Caring Hands Fund.
The highlight of the evening will be a piano concert by Mac Frampton, a resident of Presbyterian Village Cobb and an acclaimed musician who has performed more than 4,000 concerts around the world. Accompanied by a five-piece band, Mac will perform and take requests from the audience.
