About Ceilidh 2026: A Gala
Ceilidh 2026: A Gala will be held Sunday night, September 27, 2026 in the Ballroom of the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, GA. The word Ceilidh comes from the Gaelic for “gathering” or “visit.” Historically, Ceilidhs were social events where people would come together to share stories, sing, play music, and of course, dance. They were a central part of community life in the Scottish Highlands and Islands, bringing warmth and joy to long winter nights. At Presbyterian Homes of Georgia, we have adopted the Ceilidh tradition as a way of expressing our gratitude for your support of the Caring Hands Fund.
In 1942, a widow asked her pastor, “Is there a place for me?” She did not know where she would live out the years of her life in comfort, security, and in an environment of compassionate care. The answer to her question, then and now, is “Yes – there is a place for you at Presbyterian Homes.” That question continues to be answered by the generous gifts to the Caring Hand Fund, ensuring that there will always be a place for our residents.
The highlight of the evening will be a piano concert by Mac Frampton, a resident of Presbyterian Village Cobb and an acclaimed musician who has performed more than 4,000 concerts around the world. Accompanied by a five-piece band, Mac will perform and take requests from the audience. You don’t want to miss this event!
