Tee it up for Presbyterian Homes of Georgia's 11th Annual Caring Hands Classic golf tournament on Monday, October 23, 2017, at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek. Don't miss a minute of the pre-tournament fun at the Ceilidh Auction on Sunday evening, October 22, 2017, at the Atlanta Athletic Club. All proceeds benefit the Caring Hands Fund, Presbyterian Homes' vital ministry to those residents that have outlived their financial resources.

On Monday the day begins at 8 a.m. with a full southern country breakfast buffet. Shotgun start will be at 10 a.m. An awards celebration and dinner will follow the golfing action.

Tournament Format
Play format is a "bramble" wherein all four players hit their tee shot, the team selects the best drive of the four, and then, all four players play their own ball into the hole from there. Scoring is flighted for each course, Riverside or Highlands. Prizes are awarded to the top three net winners per course. There is also one overall prize for the team with the lowest gross score. 

Calling All Church Teams For the Knox Challenge
The Caring Hands Classic also features a tournament within the tournament—a church team versus church team challenge to win the Knox Cup, a trophy held for one year by the winning team.

The challenge is named for John Knox, the father of Scotland's Protestant Reformation. Golf lore links Knox to the golf term fore! Knox told of persons arriving at Edinburgh's east gate and being forewarned of artillery fire overhead with the words Ware Before! Over time, this was shortened to fore, which somehow made its way from the gate post to the golf links.

Open Registration begins June 15, 2017 and is offered on a first come, first served basis.

Registration is limited to 56 teams. Register early to assure your place and join us at the home of the 2011 PGA Championship, 2014 U.S. Amateur, and the 20th anniverasy of the Arnold Palmer Cup.

Sunday Night at Ceilidh* Auction

Join in the fun on Sunday October 22, 2017, for a festive Scottish party and auction. The evening begins with beer and bourbon tastings at 5 p.m. and features a silent auction with 150 unique items, including vacation packages, culinary experiences, one-of-a-kind excursions, and more! The dinner and program begin at 6:45 p.m. in the ballroom at the Atlanta Athletic Club.  Eight free tickets are included in each team’s registration.
